Sustainability is at the core of our business ethos here at Vale Veg Box. We will always buy local and then British first, not only does this limit food miles but supports local businesses and their employee's.
We talk to our suppliers continually about reducing packaging and eliminating single use plastic. We will always try and re-use packaging from produce that is delivered to us. In some cases this may be plastic, such as crates, however if we dispose of this we cannot currently guarantee this will not be sent to landfill.
We are lucky in the Vale that our suppliers are all trying to achieve this, and making it a greener, happier place to live and work. It is in all our interests to do so.

We have worked with our Fishmonger Mel, to provide an extensive range of fresh fish and seafood. All of our fish comes from sustainable sources, and is certified by the MSC (Marine Stewardship Council). Our supplier also works with the Sustainable Seafood Coalition and their codes of conduct. And the RSPCA Assured Scheme for welfare standards for Salmon & Trout.
